In May, the special exhibition themed“Beyond Time: The History, Culture, and Art of Sakya Monastery” successfully concluded at the Palace Museum in Beijing after a three-month run. Thanks to careful logistics and security arrangements, all the precious cultural relics have been safely returned to Sakya Monastery.
Sonam Tashi, director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Sakya County, who witnessed the exhibition from its planning stages through to the return of the relics, emphasized its exceptional significance. He noted that bringing Sakya Monastery’s cultural treasures to Beijing represented a remarkable milestone for both the monastery and the historic city of Sakya.
